About The Association

Our Background

History of TJWA

The Telugu Journalists Welfare Association (TJWA) was established to provide a unified voice and a shielding net for Telugu-speaking journalists working across regional and national media streams. Over the decades, journalism has faced monumental shifts from traditional print sheets to fast-paced electronic networks and digital portals. TJWA has constantly evolved, adapting welfare policies to cover all journalists operating under these newer media landscapes.

Today, the association acts as the premier regulatory and assistance body representing thousands of reporters, staff correspondents, sub-editors, photographers, and video journalists in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and other states.

Our Vision

To establish a resilient, highly trained, and secure journalistic community where every media professional has access to top-tier health protection, legal assistance, and professional advancement opportunities.

Our Mission

To continuously execute social security initiatives, run professional upgrade bootcamps, defend press freedom, and advocate for state-sponsored welfare policies to support journalists and their families.
